Amy and Jeff Engagement – truelove(.com)
Online Dating
Online dating is a nightmare from all that I have read on social media. It seems that the chances of finding your soul mate are nearly nil. However, this is one of those rare success stories of online dating. Amy and Jeff met through a dating site and it helped that they not only had a lot in common, the even had some mutual friends. The laptop shots might not make any sense at first, so this provides a little explanation. All I know is that Amy and Jeff are truelove(.com).
Padilla Bay, La Conner
Amy and Jeff Engagement photographs were shot on location in the Skagit, WA. We decided on a few locations and had the privilege of private access to all the sites. Not too often that I get exclusive access with clients. The tide might have been out at the Padilla Bay, but the Indian Slough area is great photo at any time. The sun was out and Spring was officially here. An old boat house and dock provide a great backdrop for images.
McLean Road Fire Station
Moving on, we all headed to McLean Road in Mount Vernon. Jeff is a volunteer firefighter at the McLean Road Fire Station. Having been a volunteer firefighter myself , I have total respect for paid and volunteer firefighters alike. Stepping back into a station was almost a flashback moment. I think that Jeff was probably hoping there was a call and he could wrap up the photo session. But no such luck and we headed out to a private access at Washington Bulb tulip fields.
Skagit Valley Tulip fields – Washington Bulb
The Skagit Valley Tulip fields are world renowned and people from just about everywhere show up in the Spring for the display of color. We had him pop the question and a bottle of Cava to celebrate while the sun set behind the tulips. Amy and Jeff were married at Roozengaarde and I had the pleasure of shooting their wedding as well. Cheers to you Amy and Jeff!
